Hi there, I’m Tiffany!
Welcome to Dream Design DIY. I am thrilled you are here!
I want to HELP YOU have a space YOU LOVE on a practical budget you are comfortable with. I post project tutorials, room remodels, crafts, and DIY tips to give YOU solutions for creating beautiful spaces. I am out to prove that you don’t have to spend a lot of money to have a home you love.
I started this blog in 2014 out of my passion for interior design, budget friendly DIY and home renovations. I spend most of my time in our two car garage sawing, drilling, nailing, sanding and painting to create the space I envision in my mind.
Over time I have acquired more tools and have learned new skills. Like you I have taught myself through trial and error watching and rewatching You Tube videos and following blog tutorials. Often times frustrated through a mis cut, an incorrect measurement stumbling through to the end project.
Through my experiences both good and bad I hope to teach, inspire and empower YOU to DIY your own projects as well. If I can do it ANYONE can do it! If you are new to DIY projects I want to direct you to my post on Essential Safety Gear and 10 Essential Tools Under $15 for the DIYer.
Right now I also work part time as a nurse practitioner taking care of elderly patients. With the help of my supportive and amazing husband Nick I am transitioning more and more time working on my blog. I have been married for 13 years and we have two adorable small dogs Nash and Harley. We live about 10 miles from downtown Denver, CO in a 1973 ranch style home. We have lived in our current home for over a year now. This house desperately needed updating. We looked passed the outdated wallpaper, paint colors and layout. Even before moving in we knocked down several walls to open up the space and the remodels continue from there.
In my free time I love traveling, country music, snowboarding, hiking, camping, entertaining, and spending time with family and friends.
I absolutely love working on home projects and find it extremely fulfilling to DREAM an idea, DESIGN it, and get my hands dirty and DO IT. By nature I am a procrastinating perfectionist which often makes DIY a challenge; most often I do way more dreaming than doing.
Dream Design DIY is a place to find inspiration to DESIGN your DREAM DIYs. Again thanks for stopping by and if there is ever any thing I can answer or help with a DIY question please don’t hesitate to contact me.
Dream BIG and DO IT!
