STEPS TO MAKE EAT KITCHEN SIGN
Step 1) After the cuts are made I sanded the wood pieces making sure to sand any rough spots, and the edges and corners and then painted the wood blocks with Folk Art Chalk Paint in Rich Black.
Step 2) Create a stencil and paint it. I centered the stencil using a square. I used Folk Art Chalk Paint in White Adirondack and my Silhouette Cameo to create an EAT stencil using contact paper. If you don’t own a cutting machine then you can easily create the lettering on the computer, cut them out and trace the letters. I did this for several projects before I ever owned a Silhouette.
Step 3) At this point you can either leave it as is or sand it if you prefer the worn/aged look. Finally apply a wax sealer, allow to dry, buff it, and if you prefer apply a spray sealer. I like to protect my decor stuff from the harsh cooking elements that happen in the kitchen to help keep them clean.
I am so excited to put these above my kitchen cabinets.
