I’m back again for the One Room Challenge (ORC) and it’s already Week 3. This means that we are halfway through this challenge. What is the ORC you might be asking yourself? The One Room Challenge started several years ago that involves designers and bloggers transforming a space in 6 weeks. For my space I have chosen to do my Kitchen Nook in an Industrial Farmhouse style. Thanks Linda from Calling it Home who hosts this event in April and October.

This week I was able to finish the stenciled brick wall and I purchased the Industrial Wood Top Counter Stools from Target. I purchased the stools via in store pick up, making it super convenient to just show up and they were ready for me. I plan on assembling them this week.
I do plan to add a white wash finish to tone down the brick wall some, but the hard part is over…I think 😕 . I did spend last weekend at Copper ski resort for closing weekend so I didn’t get as much done on my space as I would like and I do have this problem with underestimating the time it takes to get a task done…sigh.
Here is where the Kitchen Nook started in Week 1.
Here we stand in Week 3.
Overall I am so happy with the results and I can’t wait to spend this weekend working on more projects to complete the space.
Here are the industrial stools I bought. Cost was around $55 each after a 10% off Target had available online when we purchased them.
I was confirmed about purchasing these industrial stools especially after completing the brick wall. There is just something about brick and industrial that is a perfect match.
Thank you so much for keeping up with my progress. Well I better get back to painting now.
