STEPS FOR SHARP CHALK LINES
*Make sure your chalkboard is SEASONED before you use it.
Step 1) Sharpen your chalk with the pencil sharpener. I recommend a pencil sharpener that has two different size holes. One hole is the traditional size for pencils and then one slightly bigger perfect for chalk sizes. Take it slow with sharpening since the chalk can break easily. For best results make sure to sharpen the chalk several times when writing to maintain the sharp point. Step 2) Find an image or text you want to transfer and print it out. Take the side of a piece of chalk and rub it on the back side of the printed image. Flip the image over grab a pencil and trace the image. The rubbed chalk will leave an image on the chalkboard. Use the sharpened chalk to outline and fill in the image.
Here is an example of another image that I created using sharpened chalk. Keep in mind you can use this transfer method not only for chalkboards but for other surfaces as well. To make the image permanent you can use paint or chalkboard markers to permanently fill in the image.
