SUPPLIES FOR KITCHEN TOWELS
STEPS TO MAKE KITCHEN TOWELS
Step 1) I washed and ironed my towels. This first step isn’t necessary but my towels shrunk about 5 inches so it may make a difference in sizing and placement of the stencil. It is pretty much impossible to get the wrinkles completely out of the flour sack towels.
Step 2) Make a stencil, apply it to the towel and color the stencil. You can use or own images or you can access these images by visiting my FREE Resource Library (personal use only) or see below.
I used my Silhouette Cameo to make my stencil. If you don’t own a cutting machine you can cut out a stencil made of paper or trace a graphic by placing it under the towel since the towels are easy to see through. I also placed cardboard under the towel while I colored in the stencil to protect the surface. Once dry, remove stencil and show off your fun new towels by hanging them in your kitchen.
What a great way to add some humor to the kitchen and these would also made a great gift!
I already washed my towels and the fabric market has held up very nicely so far.
What fun sayings can you come up with to put on your towels?
