TOOLS FOR DIY OUTDOOR WELCOME MAT
SUPPLIES FOR DIY OUTDOOR WELCOME MAT
- Coir door mat
- Black spray paint – I used Rust-oleum in Flat Black
- Stencil – I used contact paper to create the stencil
- Scrap paper or newspaper
STEPS FOR DIY OUTDOOR WELCOME MAT
Step 1) I created my stencil and cut it out with my Silhouette Cameo. Then I centered it and applied it to the mat. You can get this FREE Camp Sweet Camp graphic in my Resource Library (for personal use only). I did find that the contact paper didn’t stick very well to the mat.
Step 2) I applied a few coats of black spray paint to the stencil and let it dry. I did have a problem with some of the letters curling up. I used a chopstick to hold those parts in place while I spray painted. Once it was dry I removed the stencil and it was ready to go.
