This is a sponsored post written by me for Parrot Uncle. All opinions are 100% mine.
I am not an interior designer by trade actually I am a nurse practitioner, but I am someone who loves to decorate, DIY projects, and save money all while creating a house into a home. Through much trial and error I have learned a lot along the way. So when Parrot Uncle asked me to do a sponsored post I thought what a great opportunity to feature some of their great lighting while also learning and sharing some tips on how to best use lighting in the home. When you peruse this post think Restoration Hardware, Pottery Barn and West Elm. That is what many of Parrot Uncle’s lighting reminds me of and it has a great price point. I have to admit lighting is something that I haven’t focused on much in my home. I mean come on why do you need more lighting…isn’t that what that little switch on the wall is for…turn it on and BAM you have light. Well that couldn’t be any further from the truth and as my decorating experience expands I find such an appreciation for light well beyond its functional purpose. So lets get started. Here are several of my favorite ceiling and wall lights from Parrot Uncle.
Just how art and decorations add ambiance, character, color and personality to a room, lighting can do the same. Lighting can be a great conversation piece. Make a statement over a larger kitchen/dining room table with these ceiling lights. I love the many unique design styles available at Parrot Uncle.
If something more simple is your taste these are also good options for ceiling lights. These will work well above a smaller kitchen/dining table or in an an entry way. Many of these offer a rustic, industrial look.
Wall lights add style to walls. They can add indirect lighting as well as functional lighting. Wall lights work well in bathrooms, next to the bed, which helps free up space over a nightstand, and in hallways.

There are several other lighting options at Parrot Uncle that fit many different styles. There are also great pictures and close ups to give you a better idea of style, color and textures of the products.
Thanks for hanging out it has been de-LIGHT-ful!
